Carrie E. Allen (1856-1951) was the oldest child of Tandy and Joanna Allen and lived in Lucas County, Iowa all her life, never marrying. In 1916 she published the Van Nice Family Genealogy, which included what was known of the Allen family at that time.

Aylmer Allen (1873-1961), the tenth of Tandy and Joanna's twelve children, married Mabel Wertz (1875-1973) in 1901. In 1917, they purchased and worked the old Allen farm in Lucas County, Iowa until they retired to Russell in 1943.
